杜梦楠，新泽西理工学院数据科学系助理教授，他在美国德克萨斯农工大学获得博士学位。他的主要研究方向是可信AI，包括深度学习模型的可解释性、公平性和鲁棒性等方面。他在NeurIP、AAAI、KDD、ICML、TPAMI等期刊和会议上发表了40多篇论文，被谷歌学术引用2500多次。其中，两篇论文被选为WWW-19和ICDM-19的最佳论文提名。他的有关机器学习模型可解释性的论文被选为ACM通讯杂志的封面。他曾在Microsoft Research (Redmond)、Adobe Research、英特尔、京东探索研究院、百度等公司工作实习。他是WSDM’22的Registration Chair，IJCAI’23的Senior PC以及NeurIPS、ICML、ICLR等会议的PC委员。他还是Journal of Information Analysis期刊编委，以及Nature Machine Intelligence、TKDE等期刊的审稿人。此外，他还是机器学习与自然语言处理（MLNLP）学术社区的创始学术委员会成员，该社区拥有超过50万的订阅者。更多信息请参考个人主页：https://mengnandu.com/

ChatGPT is a cutting-edge language model that has garnered considerable attention in recent times. In this talk, I aim to shed light on the capabilities and limitations of ChatGPT in the context of machine translation. Firstly, I will provide an overview of the key components of ChatGPT, as well as its performance on diverse language tasks. Following that, I will delve into the techniques used in machine translation. Lastly, I will explore how ChatGPT can be leveraged for machine translation, while also addressing the challenges and opportunities associated with this application.
